Bauhaus Experiment Exhibition


Original vintage advertising poster for a Bauhaus exhibition entitled Experiment at the Bauhaus Archive Museum in Berlin from 1 February to 27 March 1989. Great typographic collage by the German graphic designers Nicolaus Ott (b 1947) and Bernard Stein (b 1949) featuring different cut-out letters to form the colourful title against a dark background with the rest of the text on all four sides in stylised black and white letters. Bauhaus was a German art school founded by Walter Gropius (1883-1969) that combined craft and fine art in design from 1919-1933. The Bauhaus-Archiv‚ÄČMuseum f√ľr Gestaltung was founded in 1960 "to collect and present all documents relating to the activities and cultural and intellectual heritage of the Bauhaus". Printed by Reiter Druck. Very good condition, faint scratches and creases, minor defects in margins.
