Rare 1918 edition of the controversial Alexander Blok poem, The Twelve, illustrated by Yuri Annenkov. The poem was published in 1918 in St. Petersburg, Russia (Petrograd, Leningrad) and this is one of the three editions published in the same year.

The book was rebound in hard original covers. The front page and the publisher page are missing. The text starts from the title page (page 5) and all other pages up to the end of the poem (page 62) are present. Large water stain at the beginning, small one at the end of the book, occasional marking on the pages. Page 49 restored with some paper replaced at the spine.

There are 23 illustrations, 12 are full page with no text on the back plus 2 full page with some text on the back. Size 24.5x31.5cm (9.8"x12.6").
