Record Breaking Bills

10th December 2012

The current issue of the Antiques Trade Gazette features a review of the record-breaking results of original vintage posters sold at recent North America auctions: a 1928 Mickey Mouse movie poster, thought to be the oldest surviving poster of this Walt Disney character, which sold for £56,000 at the Heritage Auctions in Dallas and a 1928 poster by the artist Cassandre for the London, Midland and Scottish Railway, which sold for £85,530, believed to be a record for this artist selling at auction, at the Swann Auction Galleries in New York. Read the full article: ATG, Issue 2070 (15/12/12).
