Original vintage travel advertising poster for Acapulco Aeronaves de Mexico Mexico's Largest Airline featuring a colourful design by the illustrator and poster artist Bob Bride (b 1933) showing a psychedelic style image of a lady with the word Acapulco on her fashionable sunglasses and images of people enjoying their holiday in the sun swimming in a pool with sailing boats at sea and cocktails in glasses, buildings, cars and beaches as well as flowers, birds and palm trees set against the dark background, the Aeronaves De Mexico (Aeromexico; founded 1934) title text and airline logo below. The beach resort of Acapulco is located on the Pacific coast near the Sierra Madre del Sur mountains becoming popular with tourists from the 1940s-1960s; the eagle knight airline logo reflects the strong ancient Mexican culture as a symbol of courage and leadership in a traditional style design. Good condition, restored tears, restored paper losses, minor staining, backed on linen.
