BBC Orchestra Barbican Modernism

£450.00

Original vintage advertising poster promoting a BBC Symphony Orchestra concert of music by Berg and Schubert conducted by the Dutch conductor Bernard Haitink (b 1929) with Sir John Pritchard as chief conductor, Gyorgy Pauk on violin and Paul Crossley on piano, held at the Barbican Centre in London. Fantastic design by the notable Modernist graphic designer Pat Schleger (1928-2015; wife and colleague of Hans Schleger Zero) featuring colourful abstract waving shapes in yellow, white and blue against a black background with the text below in stylised white and yellow letters with the Barbican logo.
