Original vintage travel advertising poster - BOAC takes good care of you - featuring a fantastic retro image of a stylish stewardess wearing a smart blue uniform and tie holding a tray of drink with a little girl holding her doll and a gentleman wearing a bow tie and glasses reading a newspaper on either side of the plane aisle, more passengers in the background with their cases on a high shelf above. Designed by the British artist Archie Dickens (1907-2004) who is also known for his pin-up artwork. (The British Overseas Airways Corporation / BOAC was the British state airline created in 1940-1946 as the result of a merger, introducing the world's first passenger jets to its service in 1952 and merging again in 1971-1974 to create British Airways / BA.) Printed in Great Britain. Very good condition, minor staining and creases on margins, backed on linen.
