Original vintage event poster - To Duisburg on the Rhine for the 50th anniversary celebration of the Catholic Journeymen's Association / Nach Duisburg am Rhein zum 50 Jahr. Jubelfeier des Kath. Gesellen Vereins - held from 16 to 18 July 1927 featuring a bold Art Deco design depicting a plane flying, ship sailing, steam train and a bus speeding in line on a stylised orange arrow with eagle wings over the text in black letters above and below. The Roman Catholic Journeymen's Unions were set up to promote the moral and professional development of young workers and travellers through a network of free religious education that included subjects such as literature, music, arts, maths and business guidance as well as religion. Good condition, restored folds, restored tears, staining, backed on linen.
