Fashion Week Amsterdam Dressmaker Midcentury Design

Original vintage advertising poster for the Fashion Week Amsterdam 13-20 November 1948 featuring a great mid-century design of two dressmaker's mannequin dummies in green and red, the one at the front with an outline of a lady's blouse and flowing horizontal striped skirt and the one behind in an outline of a gentleman's jacket with vertical striped trousers below the stylised title text with the windmill and scissors logo of the Fashion Week below. Artwork by the graphic designer and illustrator Cor van Velsen (1921-2010). The Amsterdam Fashion Week was organised by the Dutch Women's Clothing Industry and held biannually from 1947 until the 1950s; the event was re-started in 2004. Printed by Steendrukkerij de Jong & Co. Very good condition, light creasing in the corners.
