The three wheeled Messerschmitt KR200 (1955-1964), known as a Kabinenroller / Cabin Scooter, was a small lightweight motor car designed by the aeronautical engineer and inventor Fritz Fend (1920-2000) based on his 1948 invalid carriage and Fend Flitzer with two front wheels and one back wheel. Founded in 1938 Messerschmitt was a German aircraft manufacturing company that was not allowed to manufacture aircraft during the period after World War Two; after merging in 1968 to become Messerschmitt-Bolkow and other mergers, the company became part of Deutsche Aerospace DASA, now part of Airbus (since 1989).
