Paris Exposition Internationale World Fair 1937 Eiffel Tower


Original vintage travel advertising poster for the World's Fair in Paris held from May-November 1937 / Exposition Internationale on the theme of Art and Technology in Modern Life featuring a great design by Eugene Beaudoin (1898-1983) and Marcel Lods (1891-1978) featuring three planes spelling Paris over the city skyline against a smokey red, blue and white pastel background as the colours of the French flag with the Eiffel Tower visible in the distance and the rest of the stylised text below. Both artists and architects, Beaudoin and Lods were responsible for the overall design of the 1937 International Exposition in Paris and created this winning poster for a competition held by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Excellent condition.
