Original vintage advertising poster for a psychic act by Yu Li San Enigmatica Medium del Profesor Alba / Enigmatic Medium of Professor Alba featuring a dramatic illustration of the hypnotist and mentalist Yu Li San wearing red lipstick and looking up as if calling the spirits, the image in blue-green and yellow tones against a red and blue starry background, the stylised title text in oriental lettering above and on a black background below. Yu Li San performed a spiritism act as an assistant to the magician Professor Alba (Paulo Alba; d 1967) who took over the successful magic touring show after the death of his father, also Professor Alba (Manola Alba; 1894-1950). Very good condition, repaired tears, minor staining, backed on linen.
