Original vintage rail travel advertising poster – Progress Every week British Railways Modernisation Plan goes further ahead – featuring great artwork by the notable British artist Terence Tenison Cuneo (1907-1996) for the cover of Progress, the Unilever magazine Winter issue 1957-1958, depicting workers in a train depot warehouse working on diesel locomotives with sunlight streaming through the glass and an old 1837 Great Western Railway GWR North Star steam locomotive in the background. The Modernisation and Re-Equipment of the British Railways report (known as the Modernisation Plan) was published in 1954. Printed by Waterlow and Sons Ltd London and Dunstable. Horizontal. Large size. Very good condition, small restored paper losses in corners, backed on linen.
