Rare original vintage travel advertising poster published by the Chemins de Fer de l'Etat Francais / National French Railways and Southern Railway to promote their Rapide Manche Ocean fast service across the Channel connecting London - Newhaven - Dieppe - Rouen - Alencon - Le Mans - Nantes - La Rochelle - Bordeaux on the Atlantic Ocean coast to Spain and Algeria via Dax - Biarritz - Pau - Toulouse in a striking design featuring a stylised map of the rail network on the left with a photomontage of the front of an ETAT steam locomotive train on the right, the title text above and below in stylised black letters. Printed in France. Good condition, restored tears and minor loss and faint foxing. Backed on linen.
