Original vintage desktop advertising standee poster for The Coventry Cycle Chain featuring a great design by the notable British graphic designer Abram Games (Abraham Gamse; 1914-1996) depicting a cyclist wearing a suit and tie in red and yellow riding towards the viewer on a bicycle with the diagonal text box diagonally below the bike wheel, also in red and yellow with the RC pegasus / winged horse logo Renold Chains Limited along the bottom. The sticker on the back shows a hand and cleaning cloth with the request - In our mutual interest... please assist in maintaining the Sales Appeal of this showcard by wiping with a damp cloth from time to time. Established in 1879 as Hans Renold Co.; in 1930 Renold merged with the Coventry Chain Co. Ltd. (since 1896); in 1954 the innovative company become Renold Chains Ltd and is now one of the oldest leading chain manufacturers in the world.
