Original vintage advertising poster for The Saturday Evening Post magazine issued on 20 October 1945 and priced at 10c featuring a great cover design by the American artist John Falter (1910-1982) depicting a large family reunion picnic in the garden of an elegant home showing people laying the table and arranging chairs under the shade of a tree, grandparents meeting a newborn baby in front of the house, two dogs resting, a father telling off a naughty boy climbing up a column onto the roof of the porch, a young girl reading a book on the step by a man reading a newspaper, children enjoying riding a pony and men playing horseshoes on the lawn with children running after each other for a stolen toy plane around people in smart suits talking, cows in the field in the background below the autumn coloured leaves on the tree with hills on the horizon, the title text box and inset details of the articles featured above - What We Need is a Good Three-Cent Air Line by C. R. Smith and The Provocative New Senator From Oregon by Margaret Thompson. The Saturday Evening Post is an American magazine first published in 1821. Good condition, creasing, minor tears, minor paper losses.
