Original antique magazine advertising poster for the American periodical Scribner's (1887-1939) featuring a colourful neoclassical Art Nouveau illustration by the notable artist Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966) of an elegant lady wearing an ancient Greek style robe dress with a floral wreath in her brown hair, sitting on a ledge with trees and a sundial in the background below the title text - Scribner's Magazine - against the blue sky within a decorative border and the rest of the text in red and black lettering around the image including a list of the edition's contents: The Ship of Stars by A.T. Quiller-Couch, A Lover of Music by Henry Van Dyke illustrated by Walter Appleton Clarke, The Stevenson Letters, The Rough Riders by Gov. Theodore Roosevelt, A Winter Journey to the Klondyke by Frederick Palmer, Senator Hoar's Reminiscences, Two illustrated poems for the Easter Season and A Newspaper Story by Jesse Lynch Williams and other features / Now Ready Price 25 Cents.
