Original antique movie poster for an American comedy drama The Streets of New York - The sensational feature in 3 parts "Me for New York now" - based on a well known play by Dion Boucicault (1820-1890) directed by Travers Vale (1865-1927) and starring J.H. Roberts (John Henry Roberts; 1884-1961) as Captain Fairweather with Louise Vale and Madge Orlamond. Fantastic image featuring a man in a brown suit trying to jump over the water onto a ferry boat leaving the dock with his hat falling off and people watching in shock at the back of the boat, the stylised text above and below. Good condition, restored folds and tears, light staining on margins, backed on linen.
