Original vintage British Empire trade advertising poster for New Zealand Apples featuring a colourful design depicting a young lady wrapped in a New Zealand flag and holding up a large red apple against a sunny yellow background with an apple tree on the side, the flag draped over the fruit below and the stylised title text above with The Empire's Star Turn and The Dominion of New Zealand Onward coat of arms with a European lady on one side and a Maori chief on the other (1911-1956), one of three posters designed by Edward Cole during the 1930s. Located in the Pacific Ocean the sovereign island country of New Zealand was part of the British Empire from 1907 to 1947, now part of the Commonwealth of Nations. Excellent condition.
