The Russian revolutionary leader Lenin (Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov; 1870-1924) was the first leader of the new Soviet Russia and Soviet Union from 1917 until his death in 1924. The 27th Congress was held in Moscow in 1986 under the leadership of Mikhail Gorbachev (b. 1931). Founded in 1912, Правда / Pravda became the official newspaper of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union until the dissolution of the USSR in 1991. Horizontal.
