Original vintage Soviet propaganda poster - CCCP Ускорение / USSR Acceleration - featuring an image of and quote by Lenin with the Pravda newspaper heading above industrial images inside the bold red lettering running diagonally in the centre depicting cranes behind the skyscraper buildings in Moscow below XXVII and a nuclear atom diagram in the first C, tractors in a field and electricity pylons in the next C, a power plant and water dam in the last C, and a space rocket in a red Soviet star and the text За Мирныи Космос / To A Peaceful Universe in the P. The Russian revolutionary leader Lenin (Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov; 1870-1924) was the first leader of the new Soviet Russia and Soviet Union from 1917 until his death in 1924. The 27th Congress was held in Moscow in 1986 under the leadership of Mikhail Gorbachev (b. 1931). Founded in 1912, Правда / Pravda became the official newspaper of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union until the dissolution of the USSR in 1991. Horizontal.
