Original vintage poster for the Funiculaire Chamonix-Planpraz Le Brevent 2000m d'altitude Face au Mont Blanc cable car featuring a stunning Art Deco design by the notable French artist Roger Broders (1883-1953) of people enjoying a scenic view from a gondola cabin over the tree tops with snow topped mountains in the background. The popular resort of Chamonix (Chamonix-Mont-Blanc) is one of the oldest ski resorts in France; it hosted the first Winter Olympic Games in 1924. The Chamonix to Planpraz 2000m cable car opened in 1928; it was extended from Planpraz to the summit of Brevent 2525m in 1930. Published by the PLM Paris Lyon Mediterranee Railway company. Lithograph printed in France by Lucien Serre & Cie., Paris. Good condition, restored tears, backed on linen.
