The popular resort of Chamonix (Chamonix-Mont-Blanc) is one of the oldest ski resorts in France; it hosted the first Winter Olympic Games in 1924. The Chamonix to Planpraz 2000m cable car opened in 1928; it was extended from Planpraz to the summit of Brevent 2525m in 1930. Published by the PLM Paris Lyon Mediterranee Railway company.
