Karnten Austria Grossglockner Carinthia

£1,750.00

Original vintage winter sport ski travel poster for Karnten Austria Grossglockner 3798m Alpenhotel Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Haus featuring stunning artwork of the alpine hotel with people on the sun terrace enjoying the view of the Pasterze Glacier and the snow covered Grossglockner mountain in Carinthia with flags from different countries flying on the side, the bold yellow and white title lettering on a blue text below. The Kaiser Franz Josef Haus was built as a mountain refuge in 1906 on the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Hohe reached by the Grossglockner High Alpine Road (built 1932-1935), when the refuge became a hotel (rebuilt after a fire in 1997). The Grossglockner is the highest mountain in Austria. Printed by Bruder Rosenbaum, Vienna. Good condition, creasing, small tears, fold.
