Original vintage movie poster for a popular Austrian musical film directed by Georg Jacoby - Child of the Danube / Kind der Donau / Marika - starring Marika Rokk, Fred Liewehr and Harry Fuss featuring a great image of buildings on a hill reflected on the calm water of the River Danube below the bold red and white stylised title lettering against a blue and green shaded background. Filming took place on location in Linz on the River Danube and at the Soviet controlled Rosenhugel Studios in Vienna with the film sets designed by art director Julius von Borsody. Good condition, tears, ink smudges.
