Original vintage Soviet movie poster for the classic action adventure film set in the Russian Civil War about a soldier Sukhov (Anatoly Kuznetsov) who is forced to guard a harem belonging to the rebel leader Abdulla (Kakhi Kavsadze): Белое Солнце Пустыни / White Sun of the Desert directed by Vladimir Motyl, written by Valentin Yezhov and Rustam Ibragimbekov, music composed by Isaak Shvarts with lyrics by Bulat Okudzhava and starring Anatoliy Kuznetsov, Spartak Mishulin and Kakhi Kavsadze. Colourful design featuring a man's head emerging from the desert sand below with a soldier wearing white with a red star on his cap, shooting a rifle gun behind him as he races by on a horse across the desert above, the title in the centre in stylised white letters. Good condition, restored minor tears and pinholes, minor loss on bottom margin, backed on linen.
