Original vintage sport advertising poster for the 1966 World Cup Finals that took place in England from July 11 to 30 at stadiums in Wembley Everton Sheffield Sunderland Aston Villa Manchester Middlesbrough and White City featuring a great illustration of a gold football surrounded by flags of the competing countries designed like a medal with ribbons below and the text in bold red and black letters diagonally on the side. The 1966 FIFA World Cup logo features the Jules Rimet Trophy in front of a Union Jack flag below. The 1966 World Cup Final was held at Wembley Stadium in London and was won by England in extra time, beating West Germany 4-2; the England team was captained by Bobby Moore (Robert Frederick Chelsea Moore; 1941-1993). Good condition, restored paper losses, minor creasing, light foxing, backed on linen.
