Original vintage Soviet sports poster for the Women's Basketball event at the Moscow '86 Goodwill Games organised by the USSR Basketball Federation held from 5-10 July 1986 at the Central Lenin Stadium Druzhba / Friendship Universal Sports Hall featuring a red star over the event text in black lettering around a globe in white and blue with olive branches for peace below, a pictogram in blue and orange of basketball players running and dribbling a ball above the Basketball event title, the rest of the information on the sides at the top. The 1986 Goodwill Games international multi-sport event was held in Moscow Russia created by the American television producer and founder of the CNN Cable News Network Ted Turner (Robert Edward Turner III (b. 1938) in response to the Cold War era boycotting of the 1980 Moscow and 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games by the USA and the USSR respectively. Good condition, creasing, browning.
