Original vintage poster issued by Castrol to celebrate the aviation records achieved by pilots using Castrol oil featuring a great image of two planes - a Creation de Caudron C.450 fitted with a Renault six-cylinder engine and manned by the World War One flying ace and race pilot Maurice Arnoux (1895-1940), winner of the Coupe Deutsch de la Meurthe on 27 May 1934 achieving a speed of 388.97 km/h (242 mph), and a Bleriot 110 F-ALCC piloted by the French aviators Maurice Rossi (1901-1966) and Paul Codos (896-1960), who beat the world record crossing the Atlantic from Paris to New York on 27-28 May 1934 - against a yellow background with the stylised title text and logo below: avec Castrol toujours en tete du progres / always the leader in progress with Castrol. Fair condition, restored paper losses, staining, mis-registered prints, folds, creasing, backed on linen.
