Original vintage sport event poster for the Davis Cup semifinals between Italy and Germany held at the Iphitos Stadium (MTTC Iphitos) in Munich on 13-15 July 1951 (won by West Germany 3:2 with Sweden winning the finals 5:0). Great design by Richard Roth (1907-2003) featuring a mid century style figure hitting a white tennis ball - marked with the sponsor name Continental - towards the viewer with the text in bold white, blue and black letters against a pale blue sky and orange tennis court background. Printed by Munchen Theodor Dietz, Munchen. Very good condition, yellowing, faint creases in bottom margin, backed on linen.
