Mexico Olympic Games 1968 Logo Lance Wyman

£1,750.00

Original vintage sport poster for 1968 Mexico Olympic Games officially known as the Games of the XIX Olympiad held from 12-27 October 1968, featuring the iconic eye-catching event logo design by the notable American graphic designer Lance Wyman (b. 1937) depicting the title Mexico 68 in the centre interlinked with the five coloured Olympic rings logo surrounded by black and white repetitive lines adding to the mind-bending kinetic effect to the image that also represents early Mexican culture and folk art patterns. The 1968 Summer Olympics were the first Olympic Games to be staged in Latin America.
