Original vintage sport poster - 2,000,000,000 (two billion) inhabitants on the planet will see and hear the Olympic Games - featuring a great graphic design with a red flag flying at the top of the Ostankino television and radio tower in Moscow against a film strip on the blue background with the Olympic logo in red, the sides depicting black and white TV screen style images of various Olympic sports on the sides including shooting, archery, water polo, basketball, wrestling, weight lifting, volleyball, horse riding, rowing, fencing, running, swimming, gymnastics, cycling, hockey, sailing, football and boxing. Opened in 1967, the Ostankino Tower was designed by Nikolai Nikitin and was the tallest freestanding structure in the world from 1967-1974. Held in Moscow Russia Soviet Union from 19 July to 3 August, the 1980 Summer Olympic Games was the first to be held in Eastern Europe. Very good condition, minor tears and bumps on margins.
