Tour De France 1972 Miroir du Cyclisme Cycling Mirror


Original vintage sport advertising poster issued by the French cycling magazine Miroir du Cyclisme (Cycling Mirror; 1960-1994) for the Tour de France 72 featuring a colourful map of the bike race route starting in Angers and finishing in Paris set against a black background with a black and white photo of cyclists racing in front of a car below boxes for the stages below, the seventies style title text above and advertising on the side by Biere Pelforth depicting a frothy open can of the beer drink and the main sponsor of the professional French cycling team Mercier (1977-1982) Miko quality ice cream depicting a lady in warming clothing with snow over the text. The 1972 race was won by the Belgian cyclist Eddy Merckx (Edouard Louis Joseph, Baron Merckx aka The Cannibal; b 1945). Very good condition, folds.
