Original vintage travel poster for Adelaide South Australia – Wing your way with ANA – published by Australian National Airways (ANA; 1936-1957). Great image featuring a painting of Adelaide city centre seen from what looks to be the entrance of the Government House park with a view towards the modern and tall buildings of the city centre, including the Bank of New South Wales (the tallest building when it was built in 1941) on King William Street, with a statue of a soldier on a horse (the South African War Memorial - originally known at the National War Memorial - unveiled in 1904 to commemorate the Second Boer War 1899-1902) at the road junction with people standing in front of it and a busy street scene with cars and buses behind it, the text below with the logo of Australian National Airways and a map of Australia / Australia National Airways Pty Ltd - Australia's most experienced airline. Photo lithography by McLarens, Melbourne. Very good condition, repaired tear on the right hand side, minor stains in the margins, backed on linen.
