Berlin 750 Jahre Anniversary TV Tower


Original vintage travel poster celebrating the 750 year anniversary of Berlin - 750 Jahre Berlin - featuring colourful artwork by the German graphic designer Albrecht von Bodecker (b. 1932) of the city's historic Nikolaiviertel / Nicholas Quarter viewed from a bridge over the Spree river with the flowing red lettering from the word Jahre / Year running over the historic and modern buildings from the tip of the Berliner Fernsehturm / TV Tower over the spires and rooftops to the water with the Berlin Bear on the city flag of Berlin flying on top of a crane. The ancient city of Berlin was officially founded in 1237; the city was reinstated as the capital of Germany in 1990 following the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and the country's reunification. Opened in 1969, the television tower is the tallest structure in Germany and was constructed by the German Democratic Republic / East Germany. Very good condition, folds, creasing.
