Original vintage travel poster issued by the London, Midland and Scottish Railway LMS and London North Eastern Railway LNER - Dunkeld Cathedral River Tay It's quicker by rail - featuring artwork by the notable British artist and illustrator Norman Wilkinson (1878-1971) depicting birds flying over the waves on the River Tay near the stone bridge reflected on the water with the historic Dunkeld Cathedral (built 1260-1501) visible between the trees in front of the green grass covered hills in the background, the text in bold black lettering on the margin below. Dunkeld Bridge (opened 1809) was built by the Scottish engineer Thomas Telford (1757-1834). Printed in Great Britain by Staffords Netherfield. Horizontal. Large size. Good condition, small restored tears, restored folds, staining, backed on linen.
