Original vintage travel poster issued by the London North Eastern Railway LNER for Ely Cambridgeshire featuring great artwork by the notable artist Fred Taylor (1875-1963) depicting soldiers in knights armour holding shields, spears, swords and flags below an image of a monk and medieval figure pointing towards the elaborate Priors Door of the historic abbey church Ely Cathedral (founded 672), the stylised title lettering below: Ely Train Services and Fares from any LNER Agency and the title above: Architecture - Norman [11th-12th Century]. Poor condition, several large restored paper losses, several restored tears, staining, restored creasing, backed on linen.
