Ireland Trans Canada Airlines Blarney Castle

Original vintage travel poster for Ireland Trans-Canada Air Lines featuring a scenic image of two tourists in the foreground, the lady smiling with her hand on the man's shoulder, looking towards the medieval Blarney Castle in Country Cork surrounded by trees with another couple walking along the path and a lady leaning on her bicycle whilst chatting with a man in the park gardens, a TCA plane flying overhead and the bold title text in black lettering running on the side of the image above and the rest of the text with the TCA maple leaf logo below. A popular tourist destination, the historic Blarney Castle ruins is most famous for the Stone of Eloquence known as the Blarney Stone that legend says will give a person who kisses it (by leaning backwards over a parapet) will be given the gift of the gab or gift of eloquence and flattery in speech. Founded in 1937, Trans-Canada Air Lines was the country's flag carrier until 1965 (now Air Canada); the Canadian company operated services to cities in the USA and the Caribbean as well as transatlantic flights to Europe. Good condition, creasing, repaired tears, staining, backed on paper.
