Erkelens (b.1912) depicting a KLM Lockheed Constellation propeller plane marked The Flying Dutchman flying at speed above the clouds with a tall ship in full sail below representing the legendary ghost ship sailing at sea (from the 17th century myth), the stylised lettering in red and blue with the KLM logo against the cloud on the side. KLM (Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij / Royal Dutch Airlines; since 1919) is the flag carrier of the Netherlands. Good condition, restored folds, restored tears, backed on linen.
