Great colourful stylised view of the Thames by the artist, metal worker and designer Gregory Brown (Frederic Gregory Brown; 1887-1941), featuring a silhouette of a man wearing a cap and drinking with a flask next to him, sitting by a tree on the riverside looking down the winding river towards elegant Londoners enjoying boat trips under the shade of their umbrellas, the water reflecting the trees, sailing boats in the distance with stylised text below in black letters on a bright background. Printed by Adams Bros. and Shardlow Ltd., London. Good condition, restored loss on bottom left corner, minor restoration to folds, backed on linen.
