LT London Underground Psychology Pstudent Modernism Henrion


Original vintage travel advertising poster for the London Underground by the notable graphic designer Frederic Henri Kay Henrion (1914-1990) featuring a surreal modernist collage of trains and engines inside the outline of a leaping figure off to see the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace with the London Transport roundel logo as its mouth and a train as its shadow against the colourful background, a black and white photograph of a royal guard on a horse below and the text reading: A psychology pstudent of Pstaines Psaid his ego was pshattered by trains Pso he took it to see The pceremony Of the Changing of the Guard which takes place every morning at the Horse Guards and on most mornings at Buckingham Palace or St James's. All the details are contained in a leaflet, obtainable free from the Publicity Officer, London Transport, 55 Broadway, S.W.1. Printed by John Swain and son. Good condition, restored tape marks on corners, very minor scuff marks, backed on linen.
