Sidi Mohamed Ben Yousef Sultan de l'Empire Cherifien hegira 1566 - featuring an illustrated map design of the ancient north Africa country of Morocco marking the towns and cities including Oujda, Meknes, Tanger, Rabat, Mazagan, Marrakech and Casablanca with ships sailing at sea and a compass point on the Atlantic Ocean with images of people, trees, donkeys, old town walls and buildings, the stylised title and information text on a decorative scroll below - Morocco under the reign of S.M. Sidi Mohamed Bin Yousef (1909-1961; Mohammed V - Sultan 1927-1953; King 1957-1961) Sultan of the Cherifien Empire (historical 16th-17th century name; now the Kingdom of Morocco since 1956) design by Gabriel Carriat Rolant 1947. Large size. Horizontal. Good condition, tears, creasing, staining.
