Original vintage travel poster for the festivals held at the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya Tokyo [dedicated in 1920 to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji (1852-1912) and his wife Empress Shōken (1849-1914); destroyed during WWII bombing and rebuilt in 1958], featuring a great graphic design of the yellow temple with a pink roof set inside a diamond shape with yellow stripes on one side and dark blue on the other against a silver background with the title text above and dates below: 31 October, 1 and 3 November, 4-14 November for the Anniversary Ceremony, Autumn Grand Festival ceremonies, the ceremony to commemorate Emperor Meiji's birthday, the Changing of the Divine Robes Ceremony and the first day of winter. Published by the Meiji Jingu Shrine Fellowship, Metropolitan Tokyo Administration and the Japan Transportation Corporation. Fair condition, restored folds, restored creasing, staining, backed on linen.
