[ON RESERVE] Original vintage Soviet travel advertising poster designed by the notable Russian poster designer Maria Nesterova (Nesterova-Berzina; 1897-1965) for the State Travel Company Intourist (founded 1929) for Odessa USSR, an historic port city and popular tourist destination located on the Black Sea in southern Ukraine ("the pearl of the Black Sea"). Stunning night view of the city with colourful maritime flags in front of a ship flying a red flag moored at the docks in the foreground, a red light on a lighthouse reflected on the calm water and the city lit up in the background showing the Potemkin Steps / Potemkin Stairs (opened 1841) grand staircase leading from the city to the harbour and the trees, buildings, parks, factories, ships and cranes with the title text above and Intourist logo below. Fair condition, restored tears, restored paper losses, backed on linen.
