Original vintage Pan Am travel advertising map poster - Pan American The Routes of the Flying Clipper Ships - featuring a pictorial map by Kenneth W. Thompson (1907-1996) of Latin America with annotations and images of points of interest, cities, industry, animals and people including ancient Maya ruins and Inca ruins, the Iguassu Falls, Amazon rainforest and Andes mountain range, Buenos Aires and the Gulf of Mexico, people fishing, farming and playing music, cattle, fish and birds, a traditional sailing raft and ship at sea on the Pacific Ocean and Atlantic Ocean, a plane flying on a compass point heading South at the top and the text with the PAA logo on the side above a smaller image of an elegant couple walking towards the viewer in front of a historic building, a lady carrying fruit on her head, a palm tree and a hotel attendant carrying their luggage, text title text below. Pan American Airways was the unofficial flag carrier of the United States from 1927-1991. Good condition, creasing, staining, backed on linen.
