Pennsylvania State Capitol Harrisburg


Original vintage travel poster - State Capitol Harrisburg Visit Pennsylvania - featuring three illustrations: a view of the State Capitol building and dome topped by the Commonwealth statue (1905; sculptor Roland Hinton Perry) against the blue sky background, the arched stone railroad Rockville Bridge (opened 1902) in the centre, and a couple enjoying the Italian Lake public park (created 1918) lined by trees with colourful red and yellow flower beds on the green grass in the foreground. The historic Pennsylvania State Capitol was designed in a Beaux-Arts Renaissance Revival style by architect Joseph Miller Huston (completed 1906) and known as a Palace of Art. Pennsylvania Department of Commerce Bureau of Travel Development Harrisburg. Good condition, creasing, tears on edges, minor staining.
