Transatlantique Cruise Line Ship

Original vintage travel advertising poster - C'est Toujours Fete ... A Bord Des Paquebots De La Cie Gle Transatlantique Cruise / It's always a party ... aboard the liners of a Compagnie Generale Transatlantique cruise - featuring artwork by the French artist Ernest Rene Bouvard (1910-2008) showing colourful fireworks exploding in a dark night sky above a cruise liner sailing on a calm sea with flags on the ship and the light from the company's centenary celebrations reflected on the light and dark shaded blue and white water waves below. The Compagnie Generale Transatlantique shipping company (CGT; aka French Line / Transat) was founded in 1855, merging with Compagnie des Messageries Maritimes de Marseille in 1976 to form the Compagnie Generale Maritime (CGM; since 1996 CMA CGM). Published by S.A. Courbet 98, Rue de Charanne Paris. Very good condition, creasing.
