[RESERVED] Original vintage World War Two recruitment poster calling for nurses - You are needed now Join the Army Nurse Corps Apply at your Red Cross recruiting station - featuring an elegant photo by the notable American photographer Ruzzie Green (Kneeland L'Amoureux Green; 1892-1956) of a young lady in a smart US Army uniform with an Army Nurse Corps branch insignia badge on the lapels of her jacket set against a light blue background. Established in 1901, the United States Army Nurse Corps' successful recruitment campaign during WWII increased the number of nurses from a thousand at the beginning of the war to 65,000 in both the Army and Army Air Force and the Navy by 1945. Poster 710-A June 1943. Good condition, folds, tears.
