Original vintage anti-British World War Two propaganda poster issued in Fascist Italy - I principi di vita e di Stato Dell'Inghilterra Sete di dominio Sfruttamento Falsa devozione / The principles of life and state of England Thirst for domination Exploitation False devotion - featuring cartoon style illustrations depicting a man wearing a Union Jack hat holding on to a globe with oversized hands and sharp nails digging into the world map under the heading of Domination on the left, a smiling man wearing a top hat with the British flag on it and holding two large money bags marked £10,000 obtained from bleeding other nations in the centre and, on the right, a man reading from a Bible with a halo over his head next to a soldier in uniform holding down people crying tears of coins into a sack full of money marked with the red white and blue flag of the United Kingdom on the front, the text in three boxes below in Italian with messages about Englishmen creating the British Empire through the use of the goods and blood of other peoples; England being falsely destined by God to bring happiness, prosperity and liberation; employing any means to achieve their goals, be it through murder, violence, intrigue, lies, corruption, scandals or delinquency; waging a war by means of other people; owning immeasurable wealth while others have nothing; acting as a great humanitarian power; praying in public whilst hiding misdeeds; keeping posture as a perfect gentleman towards others, then acting like a gangster; and, if something goes wrong, yelling that the holiest possessions of mankind are in danger.
