Stylised black and white artwork showing a soldier in uniform holding a rifle gun and a farmer working on the field with a hoe standing back to back in front of a bright sun with the text above and below. Daylight Saving Time was widely introduced during the First World War from 1916 in Germany, the UK, France and other European countries and from 1918 in the USA; due to its unpopularity, America repealed the Act in 1919 but DST was re-introduced in the US as War Time during WWII from 1942-1945 and was afterwards used inconsistently and set by individual states with Federal Law amended in 1986 and extended in 2007.
