WWII - UK Navy Recruitment propaganda for Holland

Original vintage World War Two recruitment poster for the Dutch Navy relating to action in the Dutch East Indies: "Ik val aan ... volgt mij dit sein waarmee schout - bij nacht doorman de Japansche vloot tegemoet ging in 1942 - geldt ook voor u" (I attack, follow me ... with these words Rear Admiral Doorman met the Japanese fleet in 1942 - this command applies to you). Dramatic swirling sketch style image of Rear Admiral Doorman looking over navy ships battling at sea with the red, white and blue flag of the Netherlands as the background. Karel Willem Frederik Marie Doorman (1889-1942) was a Dutch Rear Admiral killed in action during the Battle of the Java Sea defending the East Indies/Malay Barrier against an Imperial Japanese attack, part of the short-lived American-British-Dutch-Australian Command (ABDACOM). Printed in England by James Haworth & Brother Ltd, London. Good condition, folds, minor repaired tears.
