Original antique advertising poster in French for an exhibition by Japanese Masters at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. Fantastic design by the notable French artist Jules Cheret (1836-1932), known as the "father of the modern poster", featuring a Japanese print of a lady wearing a traditional kimono with the fabrics flowing around her, the text below in black and red letters: Exposition de Maitres Japonais a l'Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Quai Malaquais. Good condition, restored minor losses, creases in image, backed on linen.
