The Seducer of Seville Don Juan Bograd

Original vintage Russian theatre advertising poster for a play performed at the Leningrad Music Hall in 1934, The Seducer of Seville (aka The Trickster of Seville / The Playboy of Seville), based on the legend of Don Juan. Colourful Constructivist design featuring a man from the clergy wearing red robes and a cross around his neck with a smiling lady wearing a traditional hat and looking over his shoulder with a Spanish bullfight (corrida) scene inside an amphitheatre showing a bull and a matador on a horse facing each other in the foreground and a fan with silhouettes of medieval characters, swords, shields and flags in the background, the diagonal title text on the left in yellow letters. Very good condition, restored folds and minor loss on margins, backed on linen.
